Let’s get Geometrical

Have I mentioned that I love to doodle? I really, really doo…dle!

It’s relaxing and soothing. It takes you to another place in time and space. You can get lost in a doodle and forget that time even exists. I love kairos time. I wish I had more of it in my day. The little moments I do have in my day, I cherish and savor!

I’m a fan of geometrics. Always have been. I use geometrics a lot in my artwork. They just make me happy! They too are like doodling, in the sense that you can look at a good geometric and get lost in the pattern which can be soothing. We need soothing and relaxing things in our lives, ’cause the world is a noisy and messy place. Always yelling and hollering at us… Beckoning for our attention. So, get out a pen and paper and doodle a geometric and get lost!

If you don’t know where to begin, try the triangle. You cant go wrong with the triangle! Three sides, three points and so many possibilities!

Here is a geometric drawing I did using just triangles. I’m into Gelly Roll gel pens on colored paper these days… A very dynamic combo!
