Happie Place Series 106 and 206 are delights! That make me want to go on a road trip, which is what they reminds me of – bleary eyes, cool sunglasses, patterns moving by in the rear view mirror. Not sure what your inspiriation was, but you could live in my head Miss Rachel

Thank you for sharing! I found your story to be very inspirational and encouraging. My story is very similar to yours as far as having every day jobs & not eating lobster just in an attempt to pursue the “silly hobby” I’m devoted to & passionate about. people don’t get the mind of an artist and that work is second nature. I’ve always made time for my passion and even been ridiculed for it. I feel that each day we should spend our time doing that were passionate about I’m another and an artist. However being a mother and a wife and in the midst of a very unhealthy custody battle I’d let all my desires and dreams go to the waste side. This afternoon I inquired about classes at Nola art academy and did a little online research. In doing so, I found you with your story which is very similar to mine and it’s inspired me. Thanks Rachel and your art is super fucking beautiful! take it easy girl! 🙂

    • Hi Jodi,
Thank you for sharing your heart and for your kind words! I’m happy you found my post about NOAFA. I sure hope you sign up for a class… you wont regret it!!! Don’t give up your daydreams and passions! Even when you are ridiculed by folks who don’t get the creative life, you keep pursuing your dreams of art and creating. You owe it to yourself and to everyone in your life. We are better people when we are doing what we were created to do! I’m sorry to hear about the custody battle you are going through. That’s even more reason for you to dive into art, so that you can express and release all the tension of what you are going through. Be encouraged! Follow your heart to art! Just begin!
      Rachel
